Our vehicles are fitted with satellite navigation and a wide range of medical equipment including:
· Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs)
· Medical gasses
· Suction units
· Carry chairs
· Hydraulic stretchers
We transfer walking, stretcher and wheelchair patients. Our vehicles are purpose-built to allow patients to be accompanied by a friend, relative or carer on their journey. Our vehicles are tested by the Ministry of Transport every year, so you can rest assured patients are transferred in safety and comfort.
Our vehicles are driven by friendly and experienced staff, who are trained in emergency aid and manual handling, so patients will feel comfortable and at ease in their care. The Hospital Car Service is available across Wales and the UK and is a cost-effective solution for transferring able-bodied patients to a range of appointments at hospitals or doctors’ surgeries, including:
· Outpatients
· Admissions/Discharges
· Inter-hospital transfers
· Regular medical treatments
· Check-ups
· Doctors’ appointments
As well as our standard car service, we also have a specially adapted vehicle to transfer patients in wheelchairs. It is fitted with a purpose-built ramp, so patients can be transferred in and out of the car easily. It also allows patients to stay in their wheelchair throughout the journey. The car is designed so wheelchair patients sit at the same level as other passengers, making it easier for them to interact throughout the journey.
This vehicle is ideal for patients who require a certain degree of medical care, but do not need an ambulance. It has higher seats than a standard car, so it is suitable for less mobile patients, who find it difficult to get in and out of vehicles. The people carrier is fully fitted with a response kit, including an Automated External Defibriallator (AEDs) and Medical Gases.
