- The Millennium Stadium would be empty.
- That must-see concert would be cancelled.
- Your local village fete would be called off.
If you’ve attended an event in Wales you’re sure to have seen our members at work. From rugby matches, to motocross events, to village fetes, we provide First Aid for the people who need it.
For those adult members who wish to provide First Aid cover at events, full training is given to equip them for any circumstances.
Many divisions require help in managing their accounts. This is done as and when it’s needed, a weekly commitment is not required and individuals who wish to get involved can work from home around their other commitments.
Administrators are needed within divisions for work such as keeping their records up to date, sending out letters to divisional members and dealing with any correspondence with National Headquarters.
Fundraising is a key activity to provide funds for the running of divisions. With bucket collections, bag packing events and sponsored runs there is plenty to organise and you can have fun along the way! Other members will also help plan and carry out these activities, so you wont be on your own.
Public Relations Officer
PR allows us to tell the general public of the successes and achievements of our members. Our PROs can generate publicity from the comfort of their own homes, developing links with local press and shouting about the work of local divisions.
Almost 60% of our members are under the age of 18 and the success of our youth groups relies on the support of those over the age of 18 who can take on the role of Youth Leaders. This involves working with young people either between the ages of 5 and 10 years old or between 10 and 18 years old, providing supervision at their weekly meetings and helping with their First Aid Training.
